Subject: [GLAM] Announcing an initiative by WMSE and WMF for GLAM
communities of practice
To: <glam(a)lists.wikimedia.org>
Hi all,
Starting from July 2019, Wikimedia Sverige and the Wikimedia Foundation's
GLAM team work together on an initiative to create a better and more
sustainable technical infrastructure for global heritage and content
partnerships.
This initiative is in its very early stages. We have just given a first
presentation about it at Wikimania [1], of which you can watch the video
recording [2], read the discussion notes [3], and/or browse the slides with
speaker notes [4].
We have now also published information and a landing page about this
initiative on
meta.wikimedia.org [5], where we warmly welcome your first
remarks, questions and feedback on the talk page [6]. We look forward to
engage many of you in the research and scoping that will take place in the
upcoming year!
Warmly,
John Andersson (Wikimedia Sverige)
Sandra Fauconnier (Wikimedia Foundation)
