if disk space becomes a problem you could allways split the wikipedias
onto different database servers. As the project grows this step is
inevitable, eventually (we hope) each wikipedia will have it's own
database server and slave. the disk-space will not be a problem and
performance shouldn't either since they will be completely independent
from each other.
