I'm trying to install 1.4.4 locally here and I am having an issue. I'm in the setup page under mydomain.com/config/index.php and I have filled out all the necessary information under the site config and click the 'install' button. The problem is I then get the "Something's not quite right yet; make sure everything below is filled out correctly." with the additional error of "Check name/pass".
Only one problem. Database name, username, and password are correct. I've verified with under the command line and I can connect from that fine. It just won't do it under the install script.
I searched the mediawiki site but found no mention. It appears that the mailing list is not searchable. (Wish it was) Google comes up with 5 hits on the error related to mediawiki. 4 with no solution and 1 with a "Get something better."
Any suggestions?
