Its been a mess.
There has been more than one script written to make
"two for one" crosslanguage links (Add a number of
links to en, and each target language gets these
links.) Even if it was only a one way process (not
counting all the various links that may be on other
pages) --it would be lightyears ahead of what is
availiable now.
But this is too easy --people have been writing bots
to do all kinds of fancy things. They fail to
understand the exponential efficiency benefits of
installing a ( what is generally called ) "simple"
"two for one" script into MediaWiki.
I think Rob's approach is wrong-- a one-user bot is
not the answer --rather, incorporating parts of his
bot into MediaWiki, is.
