I see it unlikely, because:
a) Most solutions would break the current caching.
b) The rendering would still be needed (eg. IE without adobe plugin)
c) SVG rendering is CPU intensive. If you provide Firefox a page with
enough SVGs, it will "hang" for a while (although i haven't retested it
for a while).
On the other hand, having a basic support for setups where there isn't a
SVG renderer would be fine.
