Modern JavaScript (okay, ECMAScript) is actually a pretty nice language.
It's just the browser implementations that generally suck. But it's
certainly no worse than PHP.
Oh, it's almost certainly better than PHP. My brain still needs a
shower -- unless this means that all PHP will now magically be replaced
with server-side Javascript, in which case we might have a net win.
