The first two images on the [[Water]] page are broken.
Experimentation reveals that they're only broken at their
specifically-scaled sizes (280 and 150 px, respectively).
So obviously it's a caching problem. What's that trick for
forcing all a page's content to be explicitly regenerated?
&action=flush or something?

...so use Linker::makeBrokenLinkObj()?

Hi, is there an existing way (or an extension) to generate a short
well-formatted snipped around changes on a wiki page, or even just to
take the top part of a page cleanly, kind of like "Today's featured
article" does on wikipedia? That looks like it's edited by hand from
the original article, which is understandable for its placement on the
front page, but is there a way to do an automated version of that sort
of thing without a human in the loop?
Basically, I'm using the WikiFeeds extension on my site for rss/atom,
and it's great, but it always includes the whole page in the feed. For
changes that are major enough to put in the feed, but not an entirely
new page, I would like to put some snippets in the feed, but I'd like
them to be well-formatted in the sense that they look like a snippet
from the page in its final state, or close to this at least. It seems
non-trivial given the nested hierarchical structure of wikitext/html, so
I figured I'd ask if anybody has done something like it already.
Thanks,
Chris

So, I did a new version of the OpenID extension today, and I wanted to
tag it in Subversion. I couldn't find a place where tags for extensions
live, and I didn't feel comfortable adding something to the top level of
tags. So, I added a tag here:
http://svn.wikimedia.org/svnroot/mediawiki/tags/extensions/OpenID/REL0_7_0
Wrong? Right? Better ideas? Is there anything that automatically reads
the tags dir and will choke on this?

domas was the one who suggested it, and Tim didn't object. It seems
reasonable enough to me.
Am I being exceptionally dim or is there no setting to control how many
articles are shown on each page of a large category? 200 is pretty
arbitrary and, in the case of my wiki, far too few. If there's no
setting, I'd be happy to dig through the code and submit a patch to make
it customisable, but I just want to check it's necessary before I bother.
