Hi, I am from Malayalam Wikisource (http://ml.wikisource.org/ ) and I am having a doubt. Is it possible to incorporate Semantic Forms along with ProofreadPage Extension? It is for something like a dictionary. The scanned image should come on right and on the left, there should be a form with the fields - Word, Meaning1, Meaning2 etc. Any suggestions?

Hi!
I don't know if it's possible to mix the two extensions (I haven't try), but I don't think it'll work without changes in code of these extensions because both of them use customised edition forms and there may be some conflict between them.
An other point: I don't think it's possible to install Semantic Forms to a WMF wiki because Semantic MediaWiki doesn't match deployment criteria (it's what the WMW staff said me some years ago).
Sorry for these bad news,
Thomas

I can only confirm what TPT said, sorry. But if, as it seems, you are working on transcribing a dictionary in order to import it into Wikisource, I am interested in hearing updates when you have some.

Me too :-).
Maybe the future implementation of Wikidata could help you in this job, but don't hold your breath about this, we still don't know the next sister project which will be integrated.

Any news about malayalam OCR? Did anyone tested FineReader learning options? And - is present set of Unicode characters for malayalam complete, t.i. covering both modern and old malayalam alphabet? Obviously I don't know anything about malayalam but that it exists and that it is more or less "alphabetic", with few legatures and beautiful signs; but I feel some fashination by unknown matters. :-)
