Hi everybody,
I just wanted to make sure there will be some wikisourcerers at this

Maybe a bit OT, but did anybody consider to analyze how many corrections / how much content a user changes his/her edits?
As we (in pl.ws) focus on text quality, it would be appreciated to score higher the edits with corrections than edits with no correction ("no errors found").
I understand that it is hard to create such tool, especially if automatic corrections (eg. <br /> -> <br> or template parameter reorganization should be ignored), but maybe, somebody has an idea how to to do this?
Ankry
PS. We do not participate in this contest in its current form because some of our users are afraid that this will lower the text quality (users might prefer just to update the status without careful checking the content, just declaring that "no errors found"; and it is hard to identify such users/edits).

Thank you, Sam!

Kind regards,

Hi all,
After chatting with User:CristianCantoro at the Barcelona hackathon, I
had a crack at a web frontend for the wscontest tool. It is now online

It's not quite done, there's a bunch of things to be fixed, but is
functioning to some extent. I've started a list of its issues at

Hey,
ORES has a model that predicts level of a document for French Wikisource.
For example it predicts this version of "Le Comte de Monte-Cristo" [1]
needs more proofreading [2]. [2] is an example response which you can see
predication classes are either "0", "1", "3" or "4" (with this mapping
[3]). This is suboptimal, counter-intuitive and the most importantly, it's
causing EventStream to fail to emit new scores for French Wikisource [4].
So we are changing it the "0" class to "without_text", "1" to
"not_proofread" and so on in the next week.
If you are using this class, be alarmed about this change and please align
your tools. We are very sorry for any inconvenience.

Dear all,
Candalua has implemented a new feature for the Wikitext <pagelist> tag. It is now possible to display automated recto/verso numbering.
For example, if an index page uses "<pagelist 2to4=folio />" the displayed page numbers are going to be "1", "2r", "2v", "3r", "3v".
3 new displays options are added: folio, folioroman, foliohighroman. These will assign a number to each leaf instead of each page, with the two sides labeled r for recto ("front") and v for verso ("back"). The first page in a range is assumed to be a recto.
Examples:
<pagelist 1to4=folio /> -> 1r 1v 2r 2v
<pagelist 1to4=folioroman /> -> ir iv iir iiv
<pagelist 1to4=foliohighroman /> -> Ir Iv IIr IIv.
The MediaWiki:Proofreadpage_pagenum_template special template takes now a new parameter "formatted" with a better formatted page number (e.g. with the "r" of recto and the "v" of verso in superscript).
Many thanks to Candalua for having implemented this feature and made it merged as part of ProofreadPage.
Cheers,
Thomas
