Hi guys, the Learning & Evaluation team pulled some updated Wikisource stats this week (see charts below, which Siko Bouterse presented to Sue and Erik yesterday as part of "how IEG is having impact by supporting community organizers" talk). There is ongoing growth in editors in Wikisource since the IEG me and David did last year.
This is not to brag: we couldn't do it without the Wikisource community all around the world. This is a small piece of evidence that when we all work organized (say, Wikisource birthday contests) there are tangible results. I just wanted to remind you that we have a Wikisource Community User Group, which can be of help in organizing Wikisource related events/projects. And I really hope to see many of you wikisourcerors in London this summer: Wikimania is always the place where this awesome things starts (there has to be beer in the equation though :-)
Cheers
Aubrey

Hi,
This peak of November month could be the result of 10th Wikisource birthday.
In my opinion, your IEG was successful because you describe Wikisource communities, did shape Wikisource User Group and encourage our communities to organize local events. This effort will be reflected in a growth of active users in the long term.
Good job,

Of course. But without the coordinated effort for the contests, I also doubt that 10th birthday alone would have attracted users... I just wanted to underline that the IEG was just a mere opportunity for us to come together and work , not that "we" (me and david) deserve the praise. On the contrary, we did very little: it's the whole community that is the real power here, I just want to say that again over and over :-D

Its look sound good for Wikisource community.
Thank you Zanni for this stats.

Check the Summary Chart of ml.wikisource http://stats.wikimedia.org/wikisource/EN/SummaryML.htm The Wikisource's 10th Anniversary Digitization Contest's result was there. :)
Wish we have more actives in future.
