The image filter that the WMF is planning is intended to be deployed on all Wikimedia projects. A lot of the design and discussion is about Wikipedia, and primarily English Wikipedia. I think we need to petition for Wikisource to be exempt from this tool.

I don't think that we should petition any such thing, if people have a choice to have the filter turned on, then let them make that choice. We just need to explain the consequences.

Well, I have searched, but... I have still not found a single page that will be affected by this filter. Our illustrations are mainly in ns-author and in norwegian shortstories for children... The worst case is this: http://sv.wikisource.org/wiki/Fil:Phr%C3%A9nologien_Retzius_188b.jpg Will anybody add a filter-category to that? I doubt that anybody will spend their time with that.... /Ronnie

Just to mention something obvious: proofread procedure means that Commons is hosting images of potentially offensive texts. Some time ago, I personally posted into Commons a pro-slavery, interesting (IMHO) text. It must make clear that such "images of texts" (ie, djvu/pdf files and usual image files used for book illustrations) have to be excluded from any filtering. Is this possible?

The Wikimedia Foundation is wasting all of our time with questions about this stupid filter, that nobody wants. All work on this filter should be stopped now.
