You probably just saw it, but we have the posibility of trying the VE in
the main namespace on Wikisources now :-)
Here's there is a guide:
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:VisualEditor/The_visual_editor_at_Wikis…
.
It's be awesome if everyone of you could
* spread the word
* spread the guide
* translate it :-)
Let me know if there are some issues.

I'm trying to understand how magics of header=1 param into Proofreadpage
pages tag run, I'd like do test it into it.source as an alternative to our
ns0 header templates, but I failed.
Where can I find a step-by-step, stupid-proof doc?

Seen yesterday at an Italian conference:
* http://www.cambridge.org/features/cambridgeLibraryCollection/faq.htm
* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-oA4sZ9nNQ (4 min, quite good)
They selected about 10k public domain classics and published anastatic
reprints. What's interesting, they also do digital restorations of the
scans to make the text more readable than the original.
I'm not sure if Cambridge claims copyright or whether such reprints are
worth scanning, but the list of titles would probably prove useful for
the English and Latin Wikisources. The project appears to be frozen
since 2015, so a scrape of
http://www.cambridge.org/features/cambridgeLibraryCollection/books.htm
(or Amazon, if that's easier) would be a one-time effort.

Hallo all,
because of

-
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Categories_for_discussion/2011/1…
I do have a question:
Isn't [[:c:Category:Wikisource by language]] originally dedicated to
Wikisource projects? Is there any Wikisourceproject that is transcribing
only one language (no multilingual pages, no multilingual project, no
"old-language-texts", only one single modern language)?
Isn't it better to have one [[c:Category:Books by language]] where all
books are categorized by language (not all are at Wikisource) and one
parallel [[:Category:Wikisource books]]/[[:Category:Wikisource books by
project]] with subcategories like [[:Category:De Wikisource books]],
[[:Category:It Wikisource books]]. Categorisation by language can (better)
be done at [[c:Category:Books by language]].

Hi,
Is it possible to transfer large djvu files (more than 100 mb) from
Internet Archive to Commons? I have tried IA-upload and url2commons tool
but not succeeded.

Hi everyone,
this is just a friendly reminder that the calls for posters, trainings
and discussions are opened. Now it is time to start building from the
suggestions people put on the Meta liaisons page and submit the actual
proposals through the forms[1] :)
The deadline is March 20, so maybe in a couple of days you might want to
send a reminder to your community.
Thank you and have a nice day,
Aubrey
