Hi all, There's been some discussion at https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Wikisource_talk:WikiProject_Social_media#Twi… about the @wikisource Twitter account (and others). I've just been made a team member of @wikisource, and we should add some more people too. The idea is that @wikisource is the cross-Wikisource account, and each language Wikisource can also have its own account (e.g. @wikisource_fr @wikisource_de, etc. here's a list I started this morning: https://twitter.com/wikisource/lists/wikisources/members are there any others?) So, who wants to be added, and what are your Twitter usernames? We'll also have @wikisource_en later today or tomorrow; same deal. The passwords for these accounts are held by Aubrie Johnson, the WMF social media person. Thanks, Sam.

Unexpected result from a try to fix IA Upload failures

While trying to fix some failures of IA Upload an unexpected result emerged: an easy opportunity of fixing some usual OCR errors into djvu text layer. In brief, the script xml2dsed.py <https://it.wikisource.org/wiki/Progetto:Bot/Programmi_in_Python_per_i_bot/x…> converts IA _djvu.xml files into a "dsed" (lisp-like) code, so that text layer can be uploaded into djvu file into a much faster and controllable way using djvused.exe. While parsing the xml tree, at WORD level any word of the text layer is exposed to the script environment as pure text; this offers a unique opportunity to fix many scannos, avoiding any risk to mess the xml or the dsed code. headers at the bottom in the mobile version too!

Hi all, Most of the wikisource use the template header <https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Template:Header> . In the desktop view it creates a header box with optional link to previous and next page. It automatically creates another box at the bottom with similar option to navigate to next or previous page or to the top. But in the mobile view only the header box at the top is visible. The header box at the bottom is not visible. In Tamil wikisource more than 60% of the views is from mobile devices. Hence it would be nice to know a way to show the header box at the bottom too in mobile view. Regards, J. Balaji.

lack of quality flag in visual editor

Hi all, I don't know if this is a known issue. While proof reading using the "Visual editor", while saving there is no option of quality flag. So it is not possible to change the status of proofreading. This is especially becoming difficult in "Tamil" wikisource. The new users are given an option of visual editor. After that they are not able to change the quality flag. I hope some one is working regarding this issue. Is there any way where I can disable the option to offer the new users to choice visual editor.? If the users wish anyway they would be able to choose that in beta option. (P.S. Notice for IA Upload users

I see into IA Upload queue some "probably failed" not-Italian items, but I can't get the email/the user name of uploader. Probably a it.source script <https://it.wikisource.org/wiki/Progetto:Bot/Programmi_in_Python_per_i_bot/x…> could successfully merge OCR into djvu in items where IA Upload built a image-only djvu, but fails to merge text into the file. I'd like to try, but I need a personal contact from interested users, just to coordinate upload of fixed djvu files into Commons.
