hosted by the Indic MediaWiki Developers User Group in *Guwahati* on *6-7
July 2024*!
This event is open to all who contribute to Wikimedia’s technical spaces,
including developers, maintainers, translators, designers, technical
writers, and those with a strong understanding of wiki issues who can
collaborate with developers. You can join with a project in mind, team up
with others on existing projects, or create something entirely new. The
goal is to bring together technical contributors from India to address
pending technical issues, and bugs, brainstorm new ideas, and strengthen
connections within the community.
Scholarships are available to assist with your attendance, covering travel,
accommodation, food, and related expenses.

are honored to have senior leaders from the Wikimedia Foundation
participating to share more about Wikimedia Foundation's (WMF) Draft Annual
Plan

specifically tailored for the South Asia communities.
It's a unique opportunity for us to connect directly with the leadership of
our organization, share our insights, and contribute to the shaping of

questions are invaluable in ensuring that the Annual Plan aligns with the
needs and aspirations of our diverse community.

Since 2023, preceding the WikiConference India 2023, we've been hosting
regular calls. Initially, these were WCI pre-conference calls, which later
evolved into post-WCI calls, and over time, these calls have aimed to unite
the South Asian community monthly for updates and discussions as the South
Asian Open Community Calls
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/South_Asia_Open_Community_Call>, are
hosted every month.
In an ongoing effort to tailor these calls to better suit the community's
needs, we've made various adjustments to the agenda, topics, moderators,
and more. With over 17 editions; it's the right time to gather feedback and
make changes for increased participation and belonging in the calls.
Hence, we will be taking the month of April for feedback/review. In which
we're launching a quick survey (5-7 minutes) to hear from you. Your
feedback, preferences, and suggestions will help shape future editions of
the call and ensure it remains a valuable forum for South Asian Communities.
