મિત્રો,
કન્ટેન્ટ ટ્રાન્સલેશન/Content Translation (કોઇ સારું મસ્ત ગુજરાતી નામ
સૂચવશો? :)) હવે, ગુજરાતી ભાષા માટે બીટા વિકિપીડિયામાં પ્રાપ્ત છે.
ટેસ્ટ-ચકાસણી માટે તમારે નીચેનાં પગથિયાંઓ અનુસરવા પડશે.
૧. બીટા વિકિપીડિયામાં (http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/) પ્રવેશ
કરો. જો તમારું ખાતું ત્યાં ન હોય તો,
http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UserLogin&ty…
પર જઇને નવું ખાતું બનાવો. વિકિપીડિયાનું હાલનું તમારું સભ્ય ખાતું ત્યાં
નહી ચાલે.
૨. પ્રવેશ પામ્યા પછી, બીટા/Beta Preferences માં જઇને કન્ટેન્ટ
ટ્રાન્સલેશન સક્રિય કરો. સંગ્રહ-સેવ કરો.
૩. ત્યારબાદ, http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/Special:ContentTranslation
પર જાઓ.
૪. નવું ભાષાંતર શરુ કરવા માટે, વાદળી રંગના બટન, એટલે કે નવું ભાષાંતર
બનાવો ઉપર ક્લિક કરો.
૫. ખૂલેલા પોપઅપ બોક્સમાંથી અંગ્રેજી - ગુજરાતી ભાષા પસંદ કરો. જે લેખનું
ભાષાંતર કરવું હોય તેનું નામ અંગ્રેજીમાં લખો (દાત. California), આ વખતે
આ આપમેળે તમને સજેસ્ટ કરશે. ie ઓટોકમ્પલિટ.
૬. જો ગુજરાતીમાં લેખ હાજર હશે તો તમને ચેતવણી અપાશે. તે તમે અવગણી શકો
છો (હાલ પૂરતી, કારણ કે બીટામાં લેખ નહી હોય!).
ત્યારબાદ અંગ્રેજી લેખ ડાબી બાજુ અને ભાષાંતર માટેનો ગુજરાતી લેખ જમણી
બાજુ ખૂલશે. વિવિધ સાધનો ત્રીજા ભાગમાં દેખાશે.
૭. કોઇ પણ ફકરા પર ક્લિક કરતાં અંગ્રેજીમાંથી ગુજરાતીમાં તે આપમેળે
કોપી-પેસ્ટ થશે. તમારે તેનું ગુજરાતી કરવાનું રહેશે. કોઇપણ કડીઓ, સંદર્ભો
આપમેળે ઉમેરાઇ જશે, તમે ક્લિક કરીને કડી ઉમેરી શકો છો. હાલમાં જરુરી એવા
ફોરમેટિંગ માટે આધાર અપાયેલ છે.
કોઇપણ મુશ્કેલીઓ, બગ્સ(!), ગમેલ કે ન ગમેલ બાબતો માટે મારો સંપર્ક કરવો
અથવા ચોતરા પર નોંધ મૂકવી. જો તમે વિકિપીડિયા ફેબ્રિકેટરમાં સભ્ય ખાતું
ધરાવતા હોવ તો, ત્યાં પણ mediawiki-extensions-contenttranslation
પ્રોજેક્ટ હેઠળ તમારાં બગ્સ, સૂચનો મૂકી શકશો.
બધું બરાબર જશે તો આપણે એકાદ અઠવાડિયામાં વિકિપીડિયા પર મૂકી શકીશું.
ધ્યાનમાં રાખો કે આ સાધન, માત્ર લોગીન કરેલ સભ્યોએ "બીટા ફિચર" સક્રિય
કરેલ હોય તો જ કામ કરશે (જેથી આપણે અણગમતાં સ્પામ કે ભાંગફોડિયા
પ્રવૃત્તિ ખાળી શકીએ). તેમજ આ માટેનાં વિવિધ આંકડાઓ
(Special:ContentTranslationStats પર) પણ જોવા મળી શકશે.

સહભાગી મિત્રોના સહકાર્યને કારણે વિકિસ્રોત પર કવિ શામળ રચિત પદ્યકથા "નંદબત્રીશી" ચઢાવાનું કાર્ય પૂર્ણ થયું છે. આ પરિયોજના ૦૬-૦૧-૨૦૧૫ ના દિવસે ચાલુ થઈ અને ૧૭-૦૩-૨૦૧૫ ના દિવસે તે પૂર્ણ થઈ છે. તેમાં સતિષચંદ્રભાઈ પટેલ(ભરૂચ), હીરાવતી, અશોકભાઈ વૈષ્ણવ(અમદાવાદ), વ્યોમ(જુનાગઢ) અને સુશાંત (મુંબઈ) એ ભાગ લીધો.
કવિ શામળ ભટ્ટાની આ કાવ્ય કથાને માણવા સૌને આમંત્રણ છે. વિકિસ્રોત પરની આ પુસ્તકની કડી:

સહભાગી મિત્રોના સહકાર્યને કારણે વિકિસ્રોત પર ગાંધીજી રચિત ઐતિહાસિક તવારીખ "દક્ષિણ આફ્રિકાના સત્યાગ્રહનો ઇતિહાસ" ચઢાવાનું કાર્ય પૂર્ણ થયું છે. આ પુસ્તક ૨૦મી સદીની શરૂઆતમાં દક્ષિણ આફ્રિકામાં રહેતા હિંદીઓ દ્વારા તેમને થયેલા અન્યાય વિરોધી ચળવળ અને સત્યાગ્રહના જન્મની કથાને વર્ણવે છે. આ પરિયોજના ૨૪-૦૧-૨૦૧૫ ના દિવસે ચાલુ થઈ અને ૧૨-૦૩-૨૦૧૫ ના દિવસે તે પૂર્ણ થઈ છે. તેમાં વ્યોમ(જુનાગઢ) અને સુશાંત (મુંબઈ) એ ભાગ લીધો.

This is to bring to your notice the proposed change in leadership of the
CIS-A2K Program. The current Program Director, T. Vishnu Vardhan will be
transitioning by June 2015, due to health and personal concerns.
As many of you know, Vishnu has led the A2K Programme since February
2013. We at CIS are working with Vishnu and the rest of the A2K team to
ensure smooth transition so that the momentum of the A2K program does
not lose pace.
We will soon be putting out an Advertisement for the next CIS-A2K
Program Director and will involve the community members and the WMIN in
the selection process.
