Hi ,
We’d like to remind you that scholarships to attend the 2nd Wikimedia
Technology Summit [1], which will take place on the 3rd and 4th of March
2023 (Friday and Saturday) at The International Institute of Information
Technology - Hyderabad, India, are now open. The scholarships will
primarily support active Wikimedia Technology developers and other
stakeholders to participate in the summit.
The Wikimedia Technology Summit (WTS) aims to share and discuss
state-of-the-art tools, technologies, knowledge, and ongoing research
within Wikimedia and its sister projects.
The applications for scholarships can be submitted from 11 December 2022 to
31 December 2022. If you have any questions, please post a message on the
talk page [2].
To apply for a scholarship, you can fill out the application form at
https://forms.gle/KpjzUE5qZtsM7iwS9.
The scholarships will primarily support active Wikimedia Technology
developers and other stakeholders to participate in the conference. The
scholarships will cover travel, accommodation, food, registration, and any
other incidentals related to the conference participation.
We would appreciate it if you could help us spread the word about the
Wikimedia Technology Summit.

As you all know we are just a few hours away from closing the applications
for programs and scholarships for WikiConference India 2023

have submitted their applications, we thank you for your interest and will
be in touch soon with the next steps. For those who are interested please
hurry up and express your interest before the deadline.
Submissions after 14 December 2022, 11:59 pm (tonight) will no longer be
considered for review.
We are also happy to announce that our second Open Community call is
scheduled for 18 December 2022, for all questions and clarifications
related to the conference. Please add the following to your respective

Post detailed internal due diligence with the conference COT, with specific
reference to conference operational and logistical challenges, we had to
revise the conference dates.
The new dates for WikiConference India 2023

30 April 2023 (Friday to Sunday), Hyderabad, India.
The new dates have been finalized after a thorough check to avoid any
overlaps or challenges. We hope this extension will help us arrange
everything to make this conference a memorable experience for everyone.

Dear all,
I hope you are doing well. Glad to announce that CIS-A2K is going to
conduct an event, Indic Wiki improve-a-thon 2022, for the Indic language.
It will run from 15 December to 5 January 2023. It will be an online
activity however if communities want to organise any on-ground activity
under Improve-a-thon that would also be welcome. The event has its own
theme Azadi Ka Mahatosav which is based on a celebration of the 75th
anniversary of Indian Independence. The event will be for 20 days only.
This is an effort to work on content enrichment and improvement jointly
online and offline. We encourage the communities to plan a short activity
under this event and work on the content on your local Wikis. The event is
not restricted to a project, anyone can edit any project by following the
