આ પરિયોજનામાં અશોકભાઈ વૈષ્ણવ (અમદાવાદ), કૃષ્ણકાંતભાઈ ઠાકર (અમરેલી), વ્યોમ (જુનાગઢ), ધવલ વ્યાસ (લંડન), પ્રશાંત સુભાષચંદ્ર સાળુંકે અને સુશાંત (મુંબઈ)એ ભાગ લીધો હતો. પોતાના સમયનો ભોગ આપીને આ કૃતિને વિકિસ્રોત પર ચડાવવા બદ્દલ વિકિસ્રોત આપના સહભાગની સરાહના કરે છે
સુરત બંદરના પતન માટે કારણભૂત માનવામાં આવતી બિનાને આવરી લેતી આ કથા મોગલ કે મરાઠા ઇતિહાસમાં ઉણપ ધરાવતી માહિતી દર્શાવે છે.

The Wikimedia Developer Summit is the annual meeting to push the
evolution of MediaWiki and other technologies supporting the Wikimedia
movement. The next edition will be held in San Francisco on January
9-11, 2017.
We welcome all Wikimedia technical contributors, third party
developers, and users of MediaWiki and the Wikimedia APIs. We
specifically want to increase the participation of volunteer
developers and other contributors dealing with extensions, apps,
tools, bots, gadgets, and templates.
Important deadlines:
Monday, October 24: This is the last day to request travel
sponsorship. Applying takes less than five minutes.
Monday, October 31: This is the last day to propose an activity. Bring
the topics you care about!

Five years after Wikimedia Foundation's 2011 editor survey (

was conducted and revealed the gender gap issue, scholars, practitioners,
and communities around the globe have come a long way to address the gender
imbalance of the online encyclopedia. This blog post series (of three
parts) serve as a summary of movements and discoveries about Wikipedia
gender gap on both local (India) and global scales.

Probably the most cited statement for Wikipedia gender gap studies, the
editor survey conducted by Wikimedia Foundation in April 2011 revealed the
alarming imbalance within the online encyclopedia community(s). In the same
survey, the percentage of female Wikipedians in India is reported as only
3%. When we have repeatedly emphasized on the development and changes the
internet can bring to our societies, how do we ensure that behind our
computer screen it is not just another mirror reflecting what has been
silenced and forgotten?

Karnataka is known for its diverse linguistic cultures. Aside from Kannada,
many are native speakers of Konkani, Tulu, and other languages. A small
Wikiwomen's meetup was held on Saturday, August 27th at St. Agnes College,
Mangalore, to invite female Wikipedians from the region. Many of them were
new to the online encyclopedia but demonstrated strong interest in learning
and contributing more Indic language content online.

Recently undergraduate students from four different disciplines of the

defending linguistic diversity. We're building the world's first public
archive of every language in the world, and counting some very enthusiastic
Wikimedians among our ranks, we're excited to announce that we've submitted
a proposal

this upcoming round of Wikimedia Project Grants to support Poly, an open
source platform for sharing and learning languages.
Poly stands to improve the language content for both Wiktionary and
Wikivoyages by creating a broader network of language content aggregation.
Through it, the breadth of these projects will be expanded and their
language accuracy improved. Furthermore, in gaining access to new language
communities working with Wikitongues, Wikipedia stands to benefit from the
incubation of new language editions.
We're eager for community feedback, so if you think there are points of
