Toolserver is working properly now

Hi All, Toolserver is not working on Gu:Wp for some days because of system is rebooted. So I have mailed this on tool server mailing list and they resolved the problem and now it is working fine.. Now you can check any stat on tool server about GU:WP.. Enjoy editing :) Thanks Harsh

હમણાં કેટલાક સમયથી હું વિકિપીડિયા પર હાજરી આપી શક્યો નથી. ઘણી વ્યસ્તતાના કારણે છેક આજે સમય મળ્યો. QR Code નો વિચાર બહુ જ સરસ છે. અને હું પણ જૂનાગઢનો રહેવાસી (ગિરનારી) છું. આથી મારો પણ આ પ્રોજેક્ટમાં બનતો સહયોગ રહેશે. રવિવારે અહીં જૂનાગઢ આવું છું. અને નેટ સર્ફ કરૂ છું. આની પહેલા શાળાઓમાં વિકિપીડિયાની પહેલ કરવામાં આવી હતી, તે પણ મને બહુ જ પસંદ આવી. મારો પણ વિચાર હતો કે હું પણ સહયોગ આપું, પરંતુ સમયના અભાવને કારણે કશુ થઇ શકતું નથી. આ QR Codની પહેલમાં હું જોડાઉં છુ... - નિલેશ <http://rupayatan.com/> ડી. બંધીયા

Report: Gujarati Wikipedia workshop at Gujarati Sahitya Parishad

Dear all, Here is to thank the speakers, Harsh Kothari, Konarak Ratnakar and Gujarati Wikipedia, for an informative workshop on Gujarati Wikipedia, at Gujarati Sahitya Parishad on 14th September. Thanks & Regards, Roopal Mehta Workshop Co-ordinator, Gujarati Sahitya Parishad, Ahmedabad. અહેવાલ: કાર્યશાળા, ગુજરાતી ભાષા અને કમ્પ્યૂટર સજ્જતા સત્ર ત્રીજું: ગુજરાતી વિકિપીડિયા ગુજરાતી સાહિત્ય પરિષદ અને ગુજરાતીલેક્સિકોનના સંયુકત ઉપક્રમે ગુજરાતી ભાષા-કમ્પ્યૂટરની અભિમુખતા માટે એક કાર્યશાળાનું નિ:શુલ્ક આયોજન થયું છે. કાર્યશાળામાં જાણકારીના વર્ગો ગુજરાતી સાહિત્ય પરિષદમાં તથા પ્રાયોગિક તાલીમના વર્ગો ગુજરાત વિદ્યાપીઠ ખાતે લેવામાં આવે છે. પ્રથમ સત્રમાં રૂપલ મહેતાએ ‘કમ્પ્યૂટરની સામાન્ય જાણકારી’ વિષય પર રજૂઆત કરી હતી અને જણાવ્યું હતું કે ટેક્નોલૉજી ક્ષેત્રે જગત હરણફાળ ભરી રહ્યું છે અને આપણું ધ્યેય, કમ્પ્યૂટર દ્વારા આપણી માતૃભાષાને વિકસાવવાનું છે. બીજા સત્રમાં મૈત્રી શાહ દ્વારા ‘ગુજરાતીમાં ટાઇપ કેવી રીતે કરવું’ વિશે રજૂઆત થઈ હતી. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે ગુજરાતીમાં ટાઇપ કરવું અતિ સરળ છે અને આપણે બોલીએ, એમ ઉચ્ચાર પ્રમાણે આપણે ટાઇપ કરી શકીએ છીએ. કાર્યશાળાનું ત્રીજું સત્ર તા.૧૪-૯-૧૨ના રોજ ‘ગુજરાતી વિકિપીડિયા’ ઉપર લેવામાં આવેલું હતું. આ સત્ર હર્ષ કોઠારી અને કોનારક રત્નાકર દ્વારા લેવામાં આવ્યું હતું, જેઓ એન્જિનીયરીંગ શાખાના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ છે તથા ગુજરાતી વિકિપીડિયાના સંપાદક પણ છે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે આજે વિકિપીડિયા એ મહત્ત્વનો જ્ઞાનકોશ છે પરંતુ ૬ કરોડ લોકો ગુજરાતી બોલતા હોવા છતાં માત્ર ૨૧ જ સંપાદકો છે. ગુજરાતી વિકિપીડિયામાં ખાતું ખોલવાથી માંડીને લેખ સંપાદન કેવી રીતે કરવું, તે તમામ માહિતીને તેમણે આવરી લીધી હતી. તે ઉપરાંત તેમણે વિકિસ્ત્રોત વિશે પણ રસપ્રદ માહિતી આપી હતી અને વિકિપીડિયા દ્વારા હાલ રજૂ થઈ રહેલા કાર્યક્રમોની એક ઝલક પણ આપી હતી. કાર્યશાળાના સત્રોમાં જાણકારી પ્રેઝન્ટેશન દ્વારા આપવામાં આવે છે તથા પ્રાયોગિક સત્રમાં ભાગ લેનારાઓને કમ્પ્યૂટર ઉપર હાથોહાથ તાલીમ પણ મળે છે, જેનો પ્રતિસાદ ખૂબ સરસ મળ્યો છે. દર સત્રને અંતે પ્રશ્નોત્તરીની બેઠક હોય છે, જેમાં પ્રશ્નો અને ચર્ચાઓ મુક્તપણે થાય છે. આ કાર્યશાળાના સત્રો આપ ગુજરાતી સાહિત્ય પરિષદની વેબસાઇટ ઉપરના શિક્ષણ વિભાગમાંથી પણ માણી શકો છો, જેને માટેની લીન્ક છે: http://www.gujaratisahityaparishad.com/shikshan/ ગુજરાતી સાહિત્ય પરિષદ અને ગુજરાતી લેક્સિકોન તરફથી સૌ વક્તાઓનો ખૂબ આભાર. -રૂપલ મહેતા સંયોજક

Hi all, I'm pleased to announce that GujaratiLexicon Team has started working on Wictionary project from their database. Currently, we're adding entries to existing required words/meaning and fixing them. નુપુરબેન, મારા મતે લખાણ નીચે મુજબ હોવું જોઈએ. જેમાં થોડી વાક્યની પૂર્ણતાની દ્રષ્ટીએ અને વ્યાકરની દ્રષ્ટીએ પણ મેં સુધારા કર્યા છે. વિકિપીડિયા નિબંધ લેખન સ્પર્ધા ધ ઓપન પેજ નિબંધ સ્પર્ધામાં આપના ઉત્તમ પ્રદર્શન બદલ આ પ્રમાણપત્ર એનાયત કરવામાં આવે છે. વધુમાં એ કહેવાનું કે જો શક્ય હોય તો થોડા સુશોભિત ફોન્ટ્સનો ઉપયોગ કરીએ તો પ્રમાણપત્ર જેવું લાગે. બાકી તમે કહ્યું તેમ ખાસ કરીને અમદાવાદ ના મિત્રો જે આ કાર્યક્રમને હકીકત માં સફળ બનાવી રહ્યા છે તેઓને જે યોગ્ય લાગે તે. આભાર, ધવલ સુ. વ્યાસ From: Dhaval S.
