Dear friends,
I had a word with The Open Page person, Ms Hemangini today. I had been
trying to contact her for the past two weeks. She told me that she got very
busy in their other programs and so was not able to remain in touch with
us. I know there has been a lot of delay and so have proposed this weekend
to wrap up the entire program. In my humble opinion, it's too good an
opportunity to now lose it.
Hopefully, if Gujarati Lexicon guys agree, we will conduct workshop on
Thursday or Friday and by Monday we will have the results and we can do the
prize distribution as well. She has sent me the certificate and trophy
designs and I will get them printed and get them to Amdavad. Please bear
with me as I try and make these tentative dates fixed. Right now the dates
are 19-21 October. Will update you all as I get confirmation from Gujarati
Lexicon and Open Page.
My special humble apologies to Ashokbhai, Harsh, Konarak and team in
Amdavad for this delay. If there are more Wikipedians who want to join us,
including Sanjay bhai, it would be great! Sometimes when we are working
with other organizations, we have to bear with everyone's schedules. I hope
you can forgive me for this delay and once dates are finalized we all can
sit together and chalk out our final plan.
