First edit-a-thon in Galipedia

Hello! As you already know, next Saturday 8th November 2014, Wikimedia Spain will run an edit-a-thon at Fundación Picasso in Málaga, but the same day we will run another one. This one will be the first edit-a-thon for Galipedia (Wikipedia in Galician). The event is organized by Santiago de Composteral University, Galipedia community and Wikimedia Spain, because the 5th Science in Galician Day. The act will be at Biblioteca Intercentros (Library of Santiago University) in Lugo. Edit-a-thon at Fundación Picasso-Museo Casa Natal, Málaga

Hello! I want to share with you that next 8th November 2014 Wikimedia Spain will run a new edit-a-thon. This one is in collaboration with Fundación Picasso-Museo Casa Natal, in Málaga, the city where the artist was born. In the context of the celebration of his 133rd anniversary, the Fundación Picasso wanted to do an edit-a-thon. 3rd November 2014 a wikipedian (user Morancio) will give a talk about Wikipedia at the museum. We hope this could be the first of many activities with this museum, and in this city. They are interested on content donation partnership.. but They're asking for proposal. Does anyone can provide me with example /format which I can send to them? Thanks Saqib

They are seeking applications for a Wikimedian in Residence from dedicated individuals with excellent presentation and digital skills to work with Glasgow Museums for a 4 month secondment followed by 8 months at the MGS office in Edinburgh. The post will run for 12 months starting in early January 2015. The project will support museums and galleries to improve their skills in creating online content and open data projects from the digital curation of their collections. This is a unique opportunity to help enrich Wikipedia and its sister projects and share with the world the expert knowledge from Scottish museums and galleries and to engage with curators, members of the public and researchers to encourage contributions to the development of Wikipedia articles. Some IEG grant proposals with GLAM elements

Hello GLAM friends! For our second round of Individual Engagement Grant applications in 2014, we have a great crop of ideas. Wikimedians have dropped by to offer feedback, support, or expertise to some of the proposals, but some proposals have not been adequately reviewed by community members. Several of these proposals involve partnerships with cultural institutions, including digitization projects, outreach, creation and curation of learning materials, and more. Community members with GLAM-outreach experience are uniquely suited to comment on these ideas. If there is an open proposal that interests you, that you have concerns about, or that involves an area where you have experience or expertise, please drop by the proposal page to share your views. This will help the proposers better hone their strategies, and will assist the IEG Committee in evaluating some of these fresh new ideas to improve the Wikimedia projects.
