[Event] Transforming Biodiversity Heritage Library Images - Data Modeling with OpenRefine

Hi everyone, During October, we are promoting the Image Description Month <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image_Description_Month>. 🎉 On Friday, October 27, at 6:00 PM UTC, the Biodiversity Heritage Library is teaming up with OpenRefine and the Culture and Heritage team to host a data modeling workshop + demo using OpenRefine to clean and convert BHL's Flickr data to linked open data. Wikidata Working Hours provide hands-on Wikidata experience in a supportive space. We hope you will join us if you are interested in learning more about Wikidata, exploring LIS literature, and have been looking for a fun Wikidata project to contribute to. Call for Contributions ---------------------------- This conference addressed everybody interested in wikis and open knowledge, especially in Semantic MediaWiki, e.g. users, developers, consultants, business or government representatives, and researchers. This conference aimed to: * inspire/onboard new users, * inform on where and how MediaWiki is used, * convey and consolidate best practices, * initiate/foster/integrate application and development and * strengthen the community of stakeholders and its service portfolio. Learn how to "do" MediaWiki in order to assume your responsibilities regarding your organization's knowledge management. Your experience is valuable for all of us!
