Yeah @massly the admins are deleting all my articles.
@all Even if the article has copyright violations in them, an admin's joy of deleting articles instead of improving them is basically problematic for me.
I'm sure after deleting potential articles, they go to bed feeling, 'Oh yeah, I cleaned Wikipedia today. All articles that have slight copyright violations, I cleared them all. What a good admin I am.'
Then the following morning, the admin wakes up and finds stats about contributions from Africa and it goes like: "Oh dang! Africans dont contribute to Wikipedia at all. I wonder what they do with their time. Even this man, Patrick Awuah who's well known and the founder of Ashesi University, and Rocky dawuni who's a rock star even is not on Wikipedia. No way, Africans! You're not pulling your weight."
Then I look at the admin from above and say, 'sheesh, this is unfair!"
If admin's first priority is deleting potentially good articles, then I wonder where the "assume good faith" begins and ends.

Something I always envisioned happening as long as the whole of Africa has no Wikipedia admin to turn around decisions like these.

Are machines taking over editing on Wikipedia? Or because of these weird activities, humans are no longer contributing their time, and rather bots and machines are taking over?

Hi Rex, if you try to do a couple of weeks admin work i e checking additions to articles, improving them or only mark them so the author improves them. it might give you a better feeling how hard it can be to follow up on compliance with the various rules. I bet that after a certain number of cases you d get a little cold hearted as well. But I can understand your feelings very well, I cannot even remember how many articles I created which got deleted because of not being long enough or failing some hidden relevance criteria.

This is an attack, plain and simple to me. What was the issue with the Rocky Dawuni article anyway, why was that deleted and were any lies said about Thomas Mensah and Patrick Awuah in their respective articles too?

@all Even if the article has copyright violations in them, an admin's joy of deleting articles instead of improving them is basically problematic for me.

Interestingly, the copyvio was reported by an IP. And as a treatement, it proposed speedy deletion of the entire article. The page was restored by Spearmind. The page was blanked again by the same IP. The page was restored by MyNameIsVlad The IP then proposed a different template and blanked the article followed edit warring (which is never a good solution...) Then deletion

Interestingly, the copyvio was reported by an IP. And as a treatement, it proposed speedy deletion of the entire article. The page was restored by Spearmind. The page was blanked again by the same IP. The page was restored by MyNameIsVlad The IP then proposed a different template and blanked the article followed edit warring (which is never a good solution...) Then deletion

In your response about the copyvio yesterday, you said you couldn't count even 10 sentences that were taken word for word from a website. There should be zero. Cutting and pasting is never acceptable and will always be reverted.
So while deleting the entire article is an overkill, it's easy to understand why it happened. Avoid cutting and pasting, and make sure images are uploaded with the correct licences, and these problems will be avoided and you'll save yourself a lot of stress :)

I do the same when I am on a cleaning spree. When I discover troubles in an article, I clean those related articles as well. And if the problems all come from the same person, I investigate the person in checking all their edits. That's just logical and I think this is what is currently going on.
I do not want to sound unnice Rex... but I would be happier if you focused on the REASONS why you are in trouble (= your edits, which are often copyvios) rather than blaming it on the person doing clean up. It may be that this person has not done it perfectly well (yeah, the clean-up looks a little bit too thorough and yeah, the person does mix up with the tags, true, no great), but the real problems are the edits themselves. Be more careful in your editing job and the problem will just disappear.

I have managed to get a number of articles undeleted in the past before by simply asking the editor who deleted them to undelete them as I was not informed of them being nominated for deletion and so wanted to either a) discuss the deletion or b) give it a chance to be improved or both of those reasons. I would suggest that others follow a similar process.

Interestingly, the copyvio was reported by an IP. And as a treatement, it proposed speedy deletion of the entire article. The page was restored by Spearmind. The page was blanked again by the same IP. The page was restored by MyNameIsVlad The IP then proposed a different template and blanked the article followed edit warring (which is never a good solution...) Then deletion

Hello everyone,
I would suggest taking this as an opportunity to improve all these articles so they are in no way eligible to be deleted. That way we win two times over, we have prevented the articles from being deleted and we have improved Africa related content on Wikipedia.
It is also always a good idea to know what to lookout for in an article that might get it deleted such as plagiarism, lack of proof of notability (this is some times tricky to deal with), written in a promotional or otherwise unencyclopedic way, or simple lack of content.

Interestingly, the copyvio was reported by an IP. And as a treatement, it proposed speedy deletion of the entire article. The page was restored by Spearmind. The page was blanked again by the same IP. The page was restored by MyNameIsVlad The IP then proposed a different template and blanked the article followed edit warring (which is never a good solution...) Then deletion
