I too would love it if I could set up a simple Wiki on an Ubuntu/Debian box by
typing "apt-get install mediawiki mediawiki-extension-XYZ
mediawiki-extension-ZYX".
Platonides has been doing this work with the Debian developers on the
mediawiki-distributors list.
We still need someone to work with the RedHat/Fedora folks. I initially
said I would but I haven't had as much time to commit to that as I
thought I would. If someone is familiar with RPMs, this is a great
place to help MediaWiki.
