Hey Mike ,
First of all Thanks a lot for that nice feedback .
I would be grateful if you can illustrate a little bit on what you meant
by
"GUI way of managing pictures" .
As I understood will it be a integrated option to the edit menu of an
article where we can explore and search our photos in services like
Flickr
,Picasa ,panoramio etc ,Select the required
picture and insert the
selected
picture in to our wiki document by one click.
Please correct me if I'm wrong .
If that is the case, you may want to know that there is already an
"Add Media Wizard" available as a gadget on some wikis:
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Add_Media_Wizard
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Multimedia_beta#Add_Media_Wizard
Just checked that extension documentation ,This seems to answer lots of
questions raised by Mike as well .In that case I think I need to redefine
my targeted scope.
Should I focus on improving this extension by giving it access to some more
repositories and adding some more image manipulation functionality (It says
it already supports crop function?
Hope you all will help me on this matter .Thanks for all the replies
Best regards,
Helder
