From: wikitech-l-bounces@lists.wikimedia.org On Behalf Of Ashar Voultoiz Subject: [Wikitech-l] MediaWiki experimental tinderbox
Hello,
I have build a tool that run parserTest.php on each trunk revision, one by one. The tool is hosted on the wikimedia tool server and run every 15 minutes.
The web interface requires an AJAX browser and can be viewed at: http://tools.wikimedia.de/~hashar/tinder/
There is a small help page: http://tools.wikimedia.de/~hashar/tinder/doc.html
Yay - what a useful tool!
Only thing I wondered was maybe whether a link to "find next change" or "find previous change" could be helpful. For example, just suppose from the start you have 300 parser tests, then 5 tests break because of a revision, and then 80 more revisions pass before 3 of the 5 broken tests are fixed, and then 50 more revisions until the other 2 tests get fixed, and then 50 more revisions up until the current point in time.
That's 480 revisions, but only 3 changes in the number of passing tests. Clicking through 480 revisions at 20 revisions a page would be 24 clicks; but if there was a way to jump backwards and forwards through just the revisions that change the number of passing tests, it would be 4 clicks (one for each of the changes + maybe one for the very first or very last revision).
