For your interest, it looks like Apple has come to the party with a wiki of its own, without the need for people to learn markup language: http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/leopard/wikiserver.html
Do you know a sandbox where we could try it ?
Yes!
1) Use Firefox 2) Install the extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/748/ 3) Restart firefox 4) Install the wikipedia/mediawiki script: http://demo.wikiwyg.net/wikiwyg/demo/wikipedia/wikipedia.user.js (You will now have a "Install This User Script" in the Tools menu)
Now Firefox is ready to WYSIWYG edit.
Try out the demo mediawiki site:
1) Go to http://wikiwyg.wikia.com/ 2) Click on "Wikiwyg Disabled" to switch to "Wikiwyg Enabled" (*) 3) Now edit! http://wikiwyg.wikia.com/index.php/Testpage
You will see the normal [Edit] tags are now [Wysiwyg Edit]
Attached is a image of trying it...
Enjoy, Jeff oops, I see you wanted the non-free proprietary apple thing :)
(*) A beta site where it's enabled by default would be cool.
