Dear list, I find this debate exceedingly tiring and meanwhile turning into a waste of time (It has been helpful for some clarifications). One very esteemed fellow wikipedian posted a copy-paste entry. Surely with good intentions but against basic rules. After the necessary reaction we get for weeks now a mountain of textlines on this forum instead of someone just rewriting that entry to get the copy-paste-stuff out of it.
I do not see that anyone is working against Africa, nobody is punishing authors, and the tag very clearly is not damaging to any topic, no matter if it appears on an entry about Jesus, Muhamad, Thomas Mensah or Arteriovenous fistula. Copy paste is a bad habit that potentially can damage Wikipedia.
So will please someone rewrite that article so we can move on to something meaningful? Greetings from Uswahilini - Kipala - Ingo

Well then something is definately wrong somewhere if Wikipedia is punishing the articles/authors and not realizing that their actions via those tags have a huge potential to hurt the image of the subjects of these articles, especially in cases involving actual persons :-(
