Hello
I am not sure whether is the right place to discuss it, but are there any plans to improve the implementation of texvc for the display of mathematical formula, the most urgent things seems to me
- Implement at least the equation environment in order to enumerate the equations.
- Improve the inline expressions, whose height sometimes is quite ugly

My plans for the display of formulae are described on http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Blahtex . The main goal is to implement the generation of MathML. As a consequence, inline expressions will use the same font size as the surrounding text.
We have no immediate plans for \label{} and \ref{}, but I agree that this would be very useful. I've made a note of your suggestion.

By label and reference you mean the enumeration of equations+label+ref? I am not sure that if you would support the possibility of enumerate equations that this automatically would imply to support ref and label
By the way do you know of wikitex? http://wikisophia.org/wiki
The philosophy seems different, since this implementation really runs tex, but may be it would be useful to try to merge both approaches?
