For those interested + working on Wikimedia documentation:
There is a conf in Prague (Czech Rep) on Sep 18-20 "to explore the art and science of documentation" for "writers, developers, support folks".
See http://www.writethedocs.org/conf/eu/2016%C2%A0for more information.
There is https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants%C2%A0which could be helpful when it comes to supporting travelling.
I haven't attended the event myself but I've heard good stuff about it. :)
Cheers, andre

See also Organize a MediaWiki Documentation Day (similar to the Gerrit Cleanup Day) https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T126500, where some suggestions to combine a sprint with this conference can be found.

Seriously. There is this event in Prague, and before there is another one in Berlin. If there is an interest in organizing a sprint, we might be able to support a sprint with some travel sponsorships.
