No. It's a virus. Both the message "from you" http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.science.linguistics.wikipedia.technical/298... and "from Angela" http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.science.linguistics.wikipedia.technical/297... have the ''X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.8'' header, ie it had an attachment which has been removed.
Plus the content "Here is the note.", "Here is the report." is the tipical subject a virus would set.
