Just fair warning:
We're still not quite done with the database schema updates on the live Wikimedia servers which has pushed us a couple weeks behind on the full code updates, and I'd prefer a couple more weeks to shake down the latest code before putting out a release.
As a consequence, the MediaWiki 1.10 snapshot will come a couple weeks later than originally scheduled; it will be out by the end of April.
(Running updates in the background takes longer, but minimizes downtime for our large sites. Wikipedia being offline for two days for a minor upgrade would likely not be considered too cool. ;)

thanks for this info. Maybe it would be a good idea to post it on the mw-site (news or download) as a lot of users might wait for the next snapshot.
