While stopping people from retrieving a lot of pages in a short space of time might seem like a good idea, the people this really hits are the folk (like me) who spend a fair amount of time checking anon. edits for vandalism. I've twice in the past 10 minutes been (temporarily) unable to revert vandalism because of this wretched 503 error....
