CentralNotice was disabled on all sites except Meta on the 11th as part of the fight with ms1. Is there a likely timeline for when that will be restored?
-Robert Rohde
We are going to be moving large amounts of data off of ms1 over the next week; unfortunately we can only do this so fast without stressing other servers. Because the situation is still a bit fragile, I'd like to keep CentralNotice off until then. What do other folks think?

Just as a thought: is there any way CentralNotice could be run off something else in the meantime? I know Robert's concern is with the notices needed for the election.

Yeah, we should be able to move it around. We'll ponder some locations today and see what we can whip up on short notice. :)
(Mark has been requesting we move it to be served via the text squid proxies anyway to avoid putting extra load on the upload squids.)
