Unlike Bob Loblaw, Ben Lobaugh is a PHP dude in Seattle's WordPress community. He attended the New Orleans hackathon this past weekend http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/NOLA_Hackathon and aims to make more connections among MediaWiki developers and users in the Seattle area. He and I talked about the possibility of Microsoft sponsoring a get-together of Microsoft's MediaWiki users (of which there are evidently many) with some MediaWiki developers, for knowledge-sharing and hacking. He's at ben@lobaugh.net in case you want to contact him to help work on that.

[0] I am not about to start a thread where we just make Arrested Development references -- that kind of thing belongs on Reddit -- but I will point out that AD has a demanding learning curve, but is very rewarding in the long run and turns its viewers/users into zealots who grab other people and say "YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS, IT'S SO AWESOME." Kind of like git.
