Google has just announced the organizations accepted in Google Summer of Code 2014. Wikimedia is one of them. Please fasten your belts.

We will organize in parallel our participation in FOSS Outreach Program for Women round 8, just like we did last year.

Please forward the news to potential candidates in your circles.
I don't think we need to beat the numbers of last year (21 participants in total) but we can do better at completing projects merged in our repositories, and we should keep the trend of increasing diversity in projects, gender and geography.
Hi Quim
Wow its awesome news.
Kudos to you Quim :)
Cheers Harsh

Well I finally got around to actually listing my new possible mentor project:

Quim, if you could maybe give it a look and see if it is doable for students, then we can list it for GSoC.

Thank you for your project proposal! In general, I'm very happy to see that we have a system to refresh the list of projects and mentors that mostly works by its own intertia.
About yout proposal. As a project description, I feel it misses a clearer scope. When would be this project DONE? On the project itself, I'm not the one to decide. :) Please open a related Bugzilla report for community discussion, and make sure that the related maintainers are aware of this proposal. All featured proposals need community buy-in.
