Hi How can i contribute to wikimedia?I have worked in php and has good understanding of MySQL databases.
my first suggestion would be to read the email responses that have already been sent

I have went thru the link that was provided. It was specifically for Mediawiki. But my concern lies with Wikimedia.

Wikimedia refers to the collection of projects that includes Wikipedia and are hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation, Mediawiki refers to the software those projects, and others, run on. If you want to contribute your programming knowledge, you need to contribute to Mediawiki.

Wikimedia is a foundation that runs a lot of wikis, Wikipedia being one of them. What would you like to contribute, and how? Usually, contributions to the Wikimedia Foundation are in the form of cash donations. Or you participate in one of the many many wikis, or in software development, or...
Or perhaps you are talking about Wikimedia Commons? Or the Meta wiki? Or...
Please make clear what you ARE talking about.
