Thanx for rendering me with a reply......
but i cant possibly think how is it possible to manage a database of such huge
magnitude without having the articles categorized into certain specialized
fields.????
The database contents aren't "managed" by an admin. They are managed by
thousands of users who each contribute some little piece by hand. This
means that there are many loose ends (unfinished articles, links that go
nowhere, orphaned articles) and that manpower requirements are huge, but
the wikipedia userbase meets them.
there must be some way for sure to group articles of
similar interest......same
fields say all articles on "Biology" or " Astronomy".....grouped
someway
logically ........
i would like to know how ?????/
There's a proposed category scheme, where tags like [[Category:Astronomy]]
are added in the article text (still by hand), but AFAIK it has not been
implemented.
