Since Wikimania, the MediaWiki Architecture Committee has been meeting weekly to discuss individual RFCs, and also the RFC process and the future of the Architecture Committee. The notes from the last meeting are now available online:

We are working on expanding the Architecture Committee beyond the initial three members (Brion Vibber, Mark Bergsma and myself) -- an announcement on this will come soon. We don't yet have a proper process for adding and removing members from the committee, but in the long term, we expect that the committee membership will be chosen by a process operated at arms length from WMF management.

One of the things we are doing is RFC triage, and deciding the agenda for the weekly RFC meetings. We would very much like to have suggestions of RFCs to consider. You can send your suggestions to this thread, or directly to any committee member.
