I've tried installing a number of extensions on a Windows 2003 server but they dont seem to work. Although i've successfully installed it onto Linux. I think this has to do with the Read-only attribute thats inbuilt into the Windows 2003 server.
Anyone out there ever come across this problem? If yes how did you work your way around it? Looking forward to any responses.
[sm] Please provide more details on which extensions and which version of MediaWiki. I have a MediaWiki 1.17alpha (r64216) running fine on IIS6 with Windows Server 2003 (PHP 5.2.12/MySQL 5.1.43) and the following extensions: AdminLinks, ConfirmAccount, ContributionScores, ExpandTemplates, Renameuser, ReplaceText, SemanticDrilldown, SemanticForms, UserMerge, BreadCrumbs, CharInsert, SemanticMediaWiki, SyntaxHighlight_geshi, Widgets, CleanChanges, LiquidThreads, NewUserMessage, SemanticResultFormats, UsabilityInitiative (Vector/WikiEditor)

What are the issue(/s) that arose whilst you were trying to install them? A blank white page by any chance?

Perhaps IIS is incorrectly configured to work with PHP ISAPI (did I remember that acronym right)? Try using with apache for windows? http://httpd.apache.org has a Windows version, too. I have one windows machine running apache reasonably well. But don't forget that wikimedia mostly uses linux, so linux should be the most optimal choice for most of wikis. I run a small wikifarm on Fedora. Dmitriy
I'm a Linux convert but I'm afraid that apache is not an option in this case. Anyone else successfully installed either extensions on IIS?

What do you see in PHP's error log when this happens?

To confirm: the wiki works normally, but when you add the require() lines to LocalSettings, the server starts returning that it cannot be found?
