We are interested to test Mediawiki and to include some code similar to texwiki. Now, this requires to have the code - but which is the best base ? The stable branch, or the 1.4 dev branch, but how stable ist that one allready ? And how can one get it ? Additionally it would be great to have the source of texwiki, so that we can see if it makes sence to enchance that system or to build another tex-wiki implementation.
However if texwiki should be implemented in the same way as texvc, which this strange 'ocaml' language, it would mean that we would have to create another implementation anyway...
The aim of the project would be to have the base system to create a community site for TeX/LaTeX users. People who would be working on it are from that community itsself.

Hello Matthias,
To get the stable branch (1.3.7 actually): http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=34373
Code for dev branch (known either as HEAD or 1.4) you will have to connect to a source management system known as cvs. Some instructions are available at: http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=34373
The dev branch include a lot of code rewrite and new features that might corrupt existing database and or render the wiki unusable. It's not recommended for any kind of production wiki. All (most?) developpers have a working wiki installation running dev code and try to keep it running :o)
<snip, I do not know enough about tex in MediaWiki :/ >

Sorry in French "to develop" is "développer", that's probably why I keep using two P. I will try to be a bit more careful.
