There's no need to humbly ask as the text of the message can be edited at [[MediaWiki:Fundraising notice]] and the style of it at [[MediaWiki:Monobook.css]].

Well, there was a tempest in a teapot on one of the lists when the site fundraising notice, intended only for en:, got unintentionally stuck on all wikis. :)
