May i ask the basic technical question? I want to use MySQL to deal with almost 100 GB dumps from wikipedia dumps, but one of technical supportors told me i can't use Windows system in my computer because there is 4 GB limit for 32 bit CPU. Is that true?
If i still want to finish my study, what computer i have to get? Is there some special requirement?

Since you aren't loading the whole dump into RAM, how many bits your OS is doesn't impose any limits. It's a question of how much disk space you have, and how fast your CPU is. Loading the full dump can take an extremely long time.

I have imported all dumps i need into MySQL database, but my computer has been dead then. therefore, i have no idea whether i can do any queries. I only have 130 GB space in my hard driver, and my cpu is 3.00GHz Pentium 4. is that enough to do my database or not? Do i need to upgrade my desktop?

I don't know. Someone who's actually worked with dumps might be able to tell you. I'm thinking that your computer is almost certainly too small to work with the full dumps easily.

What language(s) of Wikipedia are you interested in loading? It's enough to load only the current revisions of any language, but not enough to load the complete histories of the larger Wikipedias. (English, for example, will take over 1TB)
