User:AntHolnes told me about a curious thing. If you lot out of wikipedia, clear all of your browser cache, and go to the history of [[Sarah Lacy]], and diff the earliest two versions, the diff will claim that the version on the right is the current one, even though it isn't.
AntHolnes even made a cool screen recording of it: http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg92/ahwpsl/wpsl.gif
I have confirmed the effect in a "clean" Opera as well.
I know we have some weirdness with revision numbers, but these seem to be all ascending. Also, the URL of the diff clearly states the old revision number, not the current one.
Or maybe it's an old squid cache?

Works for me (logged in and out)... could be a cache issue. If it is, then I guess that means caches of diffs aren't getting cleared on edit like the rest of the cache is and probably should be. If it were something that simple, I would have expected to have seen it before, though... A recently occurred fault with a particular squid server, perhaps? That would explain why you see it and I don't - of course, the hour that's gone by could also explain that.

Why would you want to clear a diff cache, ever? Diffs between revisions are guaranteed to never change.
The diff itself, sure, but the page around it can change. The bit that says "This is an old version", the bit that links to a never version, etc.

I vote for a squid issue. A knams one if Thomas can't see it (i assume he directly goes to pmtpa). So i played a bit with it, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sarah_Lacy&diff=197281497&... which didn't seem to matter, and also changing the diff and oldid parameters http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sarah_Lacy&oldid=197228443&... instead of http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sarah_Lacy&diff=197281497&... And voilĂ , i couldn't reproduce that again when going to the faulty url (urls variations were always right). Did that magically fix it?
