I was wondering if it is possible to throw a switch for a given namespace and make unprefixed links within that namespace point to that namespace?
For example, within the "Foo" namespace, I have an article named "Bar", so its address is "Foo:Bar", and typically you'd link to it by typing "[[Foo:Bar]]". But if I am linking from "Bar" to "Baz", which is also in the "Foo" namespace, then I would like to type just "[[Baz]]", not "[[Foo:Baz]]". Is that possible?

As far as I know this is a feature of upcoming Wikidata (making it one step more complicated to interprete Wiki-syntax without a full MediaWiki-installation by the way).

Problem would be twofold: 1) The move page functionality would need some patching to change the namespace references. Would probably need a "move entire namespace" function to be added. 2) How would you decide between Foo:Baz and Baz (global namespace)? Anyway, upon solving that, seems like a good idea. Perhaps use a reference like [[:Bar]]? --Chris
