Also a quick note -- after a hiatus last year, we're planning to do
another Hacking Days developer event at Wikimania '09 in Buenos Aires.
Final details are still being put together, but we expect to have an
introductory unconference-style session the day before the main
conference starts, then an open hacking room available for use
throughout the conference, where folks can hang out, chat, and code with
or without your laptop. :)
There'll be a wrap-up panel session at the end to present some of the
cool things that people have been working on.
We're very interested in getting both the "usual crowd" of MediaWiki
devs as well as maybe picking up some South American developers who we
haven't seen or heard from as much before.
