Hello,
I am actually in big dilemma,my GSOC project implements audio recording by HTML5 using a method getuserMedia().Right Now no browser perfectly supports it so audio recording itself is an issue. I have read articles about this and its the NEXT BIG FIX for many browsers .The extension will take atleast 6-7 months to get deployed and by that time there is avery good chance that browsers become compatible . The Advantage is that as soon as the Web Recording will be compatible on all browsers our community will have "Pronunciation Recording Tool" ready by then. So what should i do?Do i continue working on it as my Gsoc Project?
Please Help

as far as I know at least audio works on the newest Firefox version (20) released just a few days ago.

As long as you got one browser that works (and be it just an early alpha or beta version) you can develop the extension itself and test it with that browser. There might be neccessary adoptions once other browsers become available to add support for them but at least the foundations in the extension are done by then.
