I'm not sure there is a direct relation between Bugzilla's weekly stats and the new release.
Since users aren't dealing with the new release, the new bugs reported has very little to do with the work on the new release.
Even the "Top 5 Bug Resolvers" has little to do with the new release since they are working on site requests (Sam Reed), mobile (Tomasz and a lot of the bugs reported and fixed by Brion), Semantic MediaWiki (Yaron) and general bug management (myself).
More relevant would be the bugs marked for the "1.19wmf deployment" milestone. Since there are currently 33 open bugs there (http://hexm.de/dq), I think I'm going to have to go over the list this week, probably in triage format.
Mark.
