Hi,
I just wondered, since I failed to download the wikipedia image dump using HTTP connection, do you provide an FTP server and port for us to download using FTP connection. Or maybe, is there any other methods of downloading the file besides using HTTP connection? Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Regards, Darwin Sadeli

There are millions of tools available to download files via HTTP. If all of them have failed for you, then either your connection or your system is probably misconfigured and you are likely to experience similar problems with FTP. It is therefore wiser for you to fix those problems and use HTTP. My guess, though, would be that you tried only one download program (Internet Explorer perhaps?) and decided it was the server that was broken.

The dumps are only offered via HTTP. This make sense, because HTTP allows for resuming downloads (which FTP does not).
Use a download manager or something like that. Just because it didn't work once doesn't mean it won't work next time - with networks, anyway. :)

FTP, and we can probably provide a bittorrent tracker to save up some bandwith.
