hey
where is the /template/xhtml_slim.pt file in MediaWiki 1.4 ?
Which file in 1.4 needs to be modified in order to add new blocks on the sidebar (eg google ads)?

It's no longer used by default in 1.4. Instead, edit the skins/*.php files as appropriate.

To clarify, 1.4 features pure PHP equivalents of the TAL templates, because they were just causing people more headaches than they were worth. There are still template versions (*.pt) in the "disabled" directory, but they may be out of date. The default "MonoBook" skin is now defined entirely within "skins/MonoBook.php", using <?php ... ?> sections instead of the TAL directives.

This is not true, nobody ported my "Chick" skin for PDAs. :-)
Heh; maybe I should really have used the singular, as the only one I knew for sure was that "xhtml_slim.pt" had been turned to "MonoBook.php". [Of course, "porting" any other skin that used the same TAL template would be a case of a few lines of code to enable the correct stylesheets.]
