I found [[Gaasterlân-Sleat]] on orphaned pages, obviously a broken copy of [[Gaasterlân-Sleat]]. When I tried to delete the former, instead the latter (correct) one was deleted, while the broken one remained.
As if we didn't have enough problems on the site right now ;-)

It seems to be a general problem with non-alphanumeric characters in titles. There are several similar problems already reported at http://meta.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.3_comments_and_bug_reports#Commen...

That's because even if you go to [[Gaasterlân-Sleat]] and click "delete", if you take a close look at the URL, it gets you to the delete page for [[Gaasterlân-Sleat]]. You would have needed to fix the URL manually (putting in "%26acirc;").
I've done that for you now; though I haven't deleted the page, but replaced it with a redirect.
